When I started college in 2005, I went to JCPenny’s and bought a $20 Columbia backpack to carry my books to and from class. I remember it to be an easy purchase: it was simple, stylish enough, and cheap. After 8 years, 5 continents, 35 countries, hundreds and hundreds of bus ride, and being set in every disgusting thing you can imagine, it’s finally time to retire the backpack. I finally had to let it go with an arm strap almost completely ripped off and the bottom about to rip off. My backpack was to me like Backpack is to Dora. Thanks for the adventures, Backpack. Now off to REI!
